One phrase. However oh the facility of that phrase. It units the captive free. Breathes life into the lifeless. Offers hope to the hopeless. Restores the parched and weary soul.
“In Him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us.”
Only a tiny drop of grace can elevate a soul out of the pit of despair, pull them from a wasteland of disillusionment, and set them free.
However God didn’t give us just a bit little bit of grace. No. He poured it out lavishly, carelessly, extravagantly.
He didn’t simply forgive just a few sins. He forgave all of them. Previous. Current. Future. Our slate is clear, our report pristine, our salvation safe. Our forgiveness is instantly related to His extravagant grace.
He doesn’t dole out His grace in tiny increments. He doesn’t demand holiness earlier than He offers grace. God’s grace is Unconditional. Undeserved. Unearned. Unmerited.
He redeemed us. Purchased us from the slave public sale. Looked for us within the rubbish dump. Discovered us within the rubble of our personal making and selected us. The worth was huge! The associated fee exorbitant however it was a plan He designed within the annals of time.
Wealthy. Lavish. Wonderful. Grace.
How candy the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I as soon as was misplaced
However now I’m discovered
Was blind however now I see. Amen.
