1 Samuel 16:7 says, “. . .man appears to be like on the outward look, however the Lord appears to be like on the coronary heart.”
These phrases have been written for misfits and outcasts. God makes use of all of them. Moses ran from justice, however God used him. Jonah ran from God, however God used him. Rahab ran a brothel. Sarah ran out of hope, Lot ran with the fallacious crowd, however God used all of them. And David? Human eyes noticed a gangly teenager, smelling like sheep. But the Lord mentioned, “Arise, anoint him, for that is the one!” (1 Samuel 16:12).
God noticed what nobody else noticed– a God-seeking coronary heart. David took after God’s coronary heart, as a result of he stayed after God’s coronary heart. Ultimately, that’s all God needs or wants. Others measure your waist dimension or pockets. Not God. He examines hearts. When he finds one set on Him, He calls it and claims it.
