Silent Adoration | Devotional by Andrew Murray

I wait quietly earlier than God . I wait quietly earlier than God, for my hope is in Him.
Psalm 62:1, 5

Once we in our littleness and God in His glory meet, all of us perceive that what God says has infinitely extra value than what an individual says. And but our prayer so typically consists of what we’d like that we give God no time to talk to us.

Its an amazing lesson to study that to be silent earlier than God is the key of true adoration. It’s only because the soul bows itself earlier than Him in honor and reverence that the guts will probably be opened to obtain the divine impression of the nearness of God and of the working of His energy.

Such worship of God is the surest solution to give Him the glory that’s due Him. It can result in a blessedness that may solely be present in quiet prayer. Don’t suppose that it’s time misplaced. Don’t abandon it if at first it seems tough or fruitless. Be assured that it brings you into the best relationship with God. It opens the way in which to fellowship with Him. It results in the blessed assurance that He’s trying on you in tender love and dealing in you with a divine energy. As you turn out to be extra accustomed to it, you’ll expertise His presence abiding with you all day lengthy, and folks will start to sense that you’ve been with God.
