You (God) will hold in good peace these whose minds are steadfast, as a result of they belief in you. Isaiah 26:3

I used to be in complete darkness! It was a thick, full blackness that swallowed up all markers of my world. I may see completely nothing deep contained in the cave I used to be exploring. However one factor saved me from panic the flashlight in my pocket. As I rested my hand on it, I knew that with one slight contact, I might have gentle once more. That introduced me peace.

Life generally presents darkish moments when all the conventional markers that information us appear to vanish. In these moments, what’s it that can present an unshakable grounding? What is going to pierce the darkness? If solely there was a flashlight for these moments.

God is the supply of sunshine in these darkish moments. God, who is nice, clever and omnipotent, invitations us to regular ourselves in his reliable embrace. Within the shadowy moments, the sureness of his presence and love supplies a peace not primarily based on our circumstances.

American poet, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow had such moments. He wrote,

And in despair I bowed my head;

There is no such thing as a peace on earth, I stated.

For hate is robust,

and mocks the track

of peace on earth, good-will to males!

Then pealed the bells extra loud and deep:

God is just not useless, nor doth he sleep!

The Fallacious shall fail,

the Proper prevail,

with peace on earth, good-will to males!

Let God be your flashlight of peace. Belief in his good and ideal plan, even in darkness the place the truth of that plan appears fleeting.

God, thanks for the sunshine of your presence and the proper peace that comes as I belief in you. As my thoughts lingers on the reality of your love, knowledge and energy, might I be launched from the grip of any darkness and transfer into the realm of your gentle and peace. Thanks. Amen.
